GameBlast! 24 hour streaming for charity!

As a gamer, there are few things that feel better than being able to enjoy your favorite hobby while also supporting a great cause. That’s why I was so excited to take part in GameBlast, a charity initiative organized by Jagex to raise money for SpecialEffect – a charity that helps people with disabilities to enjoy video games and other forms of leisure technology.

My team and I spent weeks planning our fundraising efforts, brainstorming creative ideas and reaching out to our networks to spread the word. We decided to host a 24-hour gaming marathon, during which we played a variety of games and streamed the entire experience live on Twitch.

The day of the event arrived, and we were all filled with a mixture of excitement and nerves. We set up our gaming stations, stocked up on snacks and energy drinks, and hit the “start stream” button. Over the course of the next 24 hours, we played some of our favorite games, engaged with our viewers, and chatted with each other about everything from game strategy to our favorite charity causes.

As the hours ticked by, we began to feel tired and a little delirious, but the knowledge that we were raising money for a great cause kept us going. We were thrilled to see the donations pouring in, and we knew that every dollar we raised would help to make a difference in someone’s life.

When the event was finally over, we were exhausted but proud. We had raised hundreds of pounds for SpecialEffect, and we knew that our efforts would help to bring joy and entertainment to people who might otherwise be excluded from the gaming community.

Overall, participating in GameBlast was an incredible experience. It allowed us to combine our love of gaming with our desire to give back to the world, and it showed us just how much good can come from a little bit of effort and a lot of heart. If you’re a gamer looking for a way to make a difference, I highly recommend getting involved in a charity initiative like GameBlast – it’s an experience you’ll never forget.
